Secrets of the Forest

Let the jasmine flowers fall onto your
dirt dusted, supple breast. At night,

become an amusement park for
the fireflies that long to light up the

spaces in your curly, thick hair. Let
your heartbeat synch with the rhythmic

movement of the tips of the trees as your
eyes reflects the fat, luminescent moon.

Chants of all your ancestors who’s danced
in the desserts, mountains, and rivers, nest

under the silences of your thoughts. Listen,
woman, let them tell you the truth, “Your

wild ways is what makes you divinely
Feminine. Surrender and shake free who
you’ve suffocated for so long."
